It will enjoy the strategic support of the Energy Cluster Association and the Basque Maritime Forum

World Maritime Week will enjoy the strategic sectoral support of the Energy Cluster Association and the Basque Maritime Forum. They have signed collaboration agreements with both organisations to identify joint business opportunities and to create synergies, develop their networks of contacts, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and promote the defence of common interests within the sector.

Thus, both the Basque Maritime Forum and the Energy Cluster will be present at the gathering’s exhibition area; they will facilitate the organisation of B2B or other types of meetings between their associates and collaborators and will be part of the event’s Advisory Committee. In addition, the Energy Cluster Association will chair the Scientific Committee of Marine Energy Week and the Basque Maritime Forum will chair the Scientific Committee of Sinaval.

WMW will bring together the national and international maritime sector from 19 to 21 March 2025 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre. This biennial event, which will be holding its fifth edition, has laid the foundations for what will be its strategic alliances in which it confirms its status as one of the leading meetings in the sector in Europe, which is enhanced by holding four conferences simultaneously.

With the sea as the main theme, the marketing of the event will begin shortly. The shipbuilding industry will gather at Sinaval, the long-established event now being held for the 24th time; there will be a fishing forum at Eurofishing, and all the latest developments and technologies in ports will be shared at FuturePort. These traditional gatherings are now joined by what has already been a fundamental part of them: Marine Energy Week, which will bring together experts in Marine Renewable Energy and Offshore Wind.

As regards interaction among sectors, the B2B programme for direct contact among professionals will, as in previous editions, be one of the key elements of World Maritime Week and a tool for internationalisation. This programme of arranged meetings between invited buyers and exhibitors provides a necessary business space for buying advisors and suppliers to exchange information.
