Technological transformation and sustainability will take centre stage at the World Maritime Week Conference

The working groups of World Maritime Week, which is to be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 21 to 23 March 2023, are already working to design a wide-ranging programme of conferences and congress activities focused on cross-cutting and topical issues such as technological transformation and the transition towards sustainability. The working groups have been strengthened this year with the addition of entities of standing, such as the Basque Maritime Forum, Cintranaval and PYMAR. Moreover, these committees also include the members and partners who have been the driving force of this forum for many years.

On the other hand, as regards the exhibition area, the Luxua Hall will host exhibitor firms to showcase the latest developments in the blue economy. The firms who have already confirmed their attendance include the Spanish Maritime Cluster Association, Astilleros de Murueta, Astilleros de Gondan, Bombas Azcue, Branka Solutions, Navantia, Industria Ferry, Vicinay Marine, Volvo Group España and the Basque Government.

Moreover, this maritime sector meeting will encourage interaction between professionals with its B2B meetings. This programme of arranged meetings between invited buyers and exhibitors provides a necessary space for buying adviser and suppliers to exchange information and do business. As in previous editions, this space will be one of the most valued features of the event.

World Maritime Week is a unique forum of its kind in Europe. Now in its fourth edition, the forum is a strategic meeting point for the maritime sector to activate contacts, generate new opportunities and promote access to knowledge, technology and investment across its four events: Sinaval, Eurofishing, Furureport and Ocean Energy Conference.
