SINTEMAR is to exhibit its latest work in assembly, alignment and fixing

SINTEMAR is to take part in the forthcoming SINAVAL trade show on 21-23 April, where the company is to exhibit its latest work in mechanical assembly and alignment of propulsion and steering lines.

SINTEMAR is currently conducting adjustment work on Hull nº 344 at the La Naval shipyard in Sestao, a ferry for the company TESO. The tasks that SINTEMAR has been hired to perform on this vessel are the following: assembly, alignment and fixing of the main generator units, two of which are capable of operating with two fuels (MDO & gas). The second work package involves assembling and fixing the four azimuth propellers, the supporting flanges for which require machining on site. Finally, the company is also to carry out the assembly and alignment of the propulsion engines that move the propellers. The distinguishing characteristic of this vessel is that it has a double bow, i.e. it can be propelled from either end, to optimise voyage times.

The full range of products and equipment distributed by SINTEMAR will also be on show, including CHOCKFAST resins for tacking equipment, ROTACHOCK adjustable chocks for fixing rotary equipment and critical alignment equipment, epoxy resins and urethanes by DEVCON for use in on-board maintenance and repairs, INNOVATIVE belts and cladding for protection against corrosion, leakproofing, heat lagging of piping and protection against spills, COUNTROSE and FEROFORM berings of all types and sizes, BUTTERWORTH rotary heads for tank cleaning and, finally, ASCARGO spares for hatch covers.
