Aitor Guisasola Yeregui, licenciado en medicina y especialista en medicina del trabajo, máster en Salud Laboral y en Seguridad y Salud Laboral por la Universidad del País Vasco, así como en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales por la Universidad de Deusto, es el responsable de la Unidad de Salud Laboral de Osalan en Gipuzkoa desde el año 2006. Osalan es el Organismo Autónomo administrativo del Gobierno Vasco, adscrito al Departamento de Trabajo y Justicia, encargado de gestionar, coordinar y promover las diferentes actuaciones relacionadas con la salud de las personas trabajadoras. Sus competencias se extienden a todas las ramas de la actividad económica, y es el órgano encargado de transmitir la Cultura de Prevención que emana de las Directivas Europeas y de la Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales.
Autor de varios protocolos de vigilancia específica de la salud de los trabajadores, utilizando las técnicas de la medicina basada en la evidencia, es coordinador y coautor de la Guía de Vigilancia de la Salud en el sector pesquero, en cuya elaboración ha participado personal técnico y sanitario de los Institutos de Seguridad y Salud Laboral de las Comunidades Autónomas de Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria y País Vasco en el marco de la iniciativa CANO, en alusión al Cantábrico Noroeste. En esta Guía se desarrollan conceptos e instrumentos dirigidos a llevar a cabo una labor preventiva integral en el sector pesquero, en el marco de las estrategias destinadas a aumentar la competitividad y rentabilidad del sector en estas Comunidades Autónomas.

Asier Atutxa Zalduegi was born in Lemoa (Bizkaia) in 1968. He holds degree in Sociology from the University of Deusto, has an MBA Executive from the University of Deusto’s INSIDE Alumni Association, and is a Certified Coach by Newfield Consulting “The Art of Business Coaching” (ABC) programme.
From 1997 to 2007 he was the Director of Human Resources and Quality at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, and from 2009 to January 2013 he was the General Manager of Ingeplan Consulting, a civil engineering consultancy firm.
On 8 February 2013 he was appointed Chairman of the Bilbao Port Authority.
He is also Chairman and CEO of the Board of Directors of SIBPORT, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of UniportBilbao, member of the Board of Directors of Bilbao Ría 2000, member of the Executive Committee and of the Plenary Meeting of the Bilbao Bonded Warehouse.

Emmanuel Van Damme (°1975) graduated with a Master in Law at the University of Louvain (Belgium), and specialized in business law. He started his career in 2000 at Ernst & Young, in the audit and consulting department of the Brussels Office. In 2004, he joined TUI Belgium NV, a subsidiary of the TUI Group (active in the shipping industry via Hapag Lloyd, and active as European market leader in the tourism industry and aviation industry), where he started as financial reporting manager. After his involvement in the set-up of the airline Jetairfly, he worked almost 4 years as commercial and project manager for this airline. In 2008, he was appointed as Business Controller Western Europe for the TUI Group. In 2012, he resigned from this position and joined the port authority of Port of Zeebrugge as commercial director, where he looked after new route development, strategy development, land development, international marketing and marketing communication.
As from February 2017, he is appointed as Chief Commercial Officer – CCO, heading the business and logistics department, and he is a member of the management committee.

Eugenio Quintieri is Senior Policy Advisor at ESPO, the European Sea Ports Organisation. As a Senior Policy Advisor, he coordinates different Technical Committees composed of port experts: “Labour and Operations Network”, “Port Governance”, “Intermodal, Logistics and Industry”, “Economic Analysis and Statistics”. Moreover, he is the ESPO spokesperson of the “Social Dialogue Committee for Ports”, bringing together employers’ and employees’ representatives at the EU level. He also has extensive experience in participating in EU co-funded research and development projects (e.g. PORTOPIA, PRRISM).
Eugenio has BA and MSc in Political Science from University of Calabria (Italy) and MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe (Poland). Before joining ESPO, he had a short-term work experience at the European Commission in the Directorate-General Transports & Mobility (Unit B3 – Ports and Inland Navigation).

Faig Abbasov joined T&E in April 2016 after several years in the energy industry where he worked as a policy and regulatory adviser on EU natural gas market as well as EU climate and energy policy in general.
He holds an MA and PhD in political science and international relations from the University of Sheffield and has authored several peer-reviewed and opinion articles on EU natural gas policy. He is part of the shipping and aviation team at T&E, working both on shipping GHG and air pollution impact at EU and IMO levels.

With more than 15 years of experience in the gas sector, Mr. Impuesto Nogueras is currently the Commercial & Technical Services Director. Also, he is currently Project Coordinator of the “Core LNGas HIVE” project.
On the LNG terminal field, he is responsible for the logistics and commercialization of Enagás terminals in Spain, the development of reloading and small scale services, and is actively promoting the development of new LNG logistic services such as parking gas, bunkering, bulk break, LNG railroad, LNG distribution and others as the Iberian Peninsula is an international LNG hub, being the regulation and spare capacity key issues of its flexibility.
Member of the Board of Swedegas, a company participated by Enagás and developing a small scale LNG terminal in Sweden, and collaborates in the commercialization of Enagás international LNG terminals.

Currently Director Fisheries Resources Development and Marketing at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. Previously Director National Aquaculture Research Development and Training Centre, Sagana, Kenya and Assistant Director of Aquaculture Research with the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI). From 2009 to the present, was National Chairman of the Aquaculture Development Working Group, a ministerial appointment whose roles included instituting a science based aquaculture development drive in Kenya. Main interests include management of marine and freshwater capture fisheries, fish quality assurance and marketing and aquaculture development. Has been actively involved in regional discourses on modalities of access deep-sea fisheries in the Indian Ocean. Holds a PhD in Animal Sciences (Fish Breeding and Genetics) from Wageningen University of Life Sciences, The Netherlands, MSc in Biodiversity from Swedish Agricultural University, Sweden and BSc Hons from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agricultural Technology. Has over 20 years of research experience, programme coordination and administration with over 40 publications in peer-refereed journals, and several conference proceedings.

Javier Garat was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cadiz), on 27 January 1971. He holds a Law degree and a Community Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid (C.E.U. San Pablo) and has a Master’s degree in International and European Law from the Catholic University of Leuven (U.C.L. Belgium).
After working in Brussels for two years (1996 and 1997) on the fisheries team at the European Commission’s Legal Service, and as an assistant to the Fisheries Adviser or the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union, he worked for four years as a lawyer at the international office of Dutch law firm Nauta Dutilh. In 2001 he was appointed General Secretary of the Spanish Federation of Fishery Organizations (FEOPE). He is currently the General Secretary of the Spanish Fishing Confederation (CEPESCA), President of the Association of National Organisations of Fishing Enterprises in the EU (Europêche), President of the International Coalition of Fisheries Associations (ICFA) and President of the European Fisheries Technology Platform (EFTP).

Immediately upon taking the helm of Danish Maritime, it became a set goal to unite the Danish maritime industry further by stepping up the effort, started ten years earlier, to develop the organization from primarily focusing on shipyards to encompass the entire land-based maritime industry, especially raising its profile politically. This on-going process has resulted in a significant increase in members of Danish Maritime and a much clearer valuation among Danish decision-makers as to the value of the Danish maritime industry for Denmark.

José Antonio Sierra Rodríguez, Rear Admiral, Civil Engineer Corps, serves as Managing Director of Navy Construction.
He was born in Puerto de Manzanillo, Colima on 2nd February 1954. He joined the Heroic Naval School as a Cadet on 9th January 1969, obtaining the title of Engineer-Geographer and Naval Mechanical Engineer. He later went to Veracruzana University, from which he graduated as a Naval Engineer.
He has participated in the 5th and 6th Specialised Inter-American Naval Conference of Logistics Directors and Marine Materials in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and Chile, Valparaiso, respectively; in the “Orientation Program” course at the Inter-American Defence College, Washington D.C., and in the “Defence Planning and Resource Management” Seminar at the National Defense University, Washington D.C., USA.
Admiral Sierra Rodríguez has been commissioned on the “Custodio de Mello” Training Ship in Brazil, he has been an Official in different Ground Units of the Mexican Navy, as well as member of the Navy General Inspection and Control. He was the Director of Acquisitions of the General Department for Material Resources and Supplies, Deputy Navy Attaché in the United States and was ascribed to different establishments of the Department for Navy Construction and Repair. Besides, he was the Deputy Managing Director of Navy Construction.
He has received the following awards: best student in Marine Guards, granted by the Permanent Committee of the “Best Students of Mexico” Institution; 1st Class Faculty Merit Honours from the Heroic Military Navy School; Star from the Armed Forces of Ecuador, granted by the President of the Republic of Ecuador; “John Paul John” Cup, Honorary Mention from the Interdisciplinary Teaching Unit of Engineering and Chemical Sciences of Veracruz; Award for the Second Class Navy Distinction, Academic Effort granted by Veracruz City Council; Outstanding Performance, Dedication and Cooperation as Director of the Uniform and Equipment Unit; Exceptional Services as Delegate on the Inter-American Defense Board granted by the Inter-American Defense Board, Washington D.C., USA.

José María Pérez Toribio, graduate in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid, has spent almost all of his professional life in the Social Security Administration.
On 3rd November 2004, he took over as Deputy Managing Director of Maritime Social Action at the Social Marine Institute, a position that he still holds today, and from where he drives and manages areas such as training, employment, healthcare, and risk prevention of seafarers.
